Digital Badges

You worked hard to earn your certification. Show it off!

Share your OSW-C or OSW-CE (Emeritus) status across digital platforms.

You will earn a BOSWC digital badge when you are approved as a new or renewed Certified Oncology Social Worker (OSW-C) or when you retire and earn the OSW-CE (Emeritus) status. Digital badges can be used in email signatures, digital resumes, and on social media sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. The digital image contains verified metadata that describes your qualifications and the process required to earn them.

Your digital badge will automatically be added to your profile in BOSWC’s online candidate system. You can access your badge and related information by clicking on the link in your profile. The code needed to add your digital badge to your email signature and social media accounts is provided on that details page, as well.

Additional Information

  • What are the benefits of a badge? Representing your skills as a badge gives you a way to share your abilities online in a way that is simple, trusted and can be easily verified in real time. Badges provide employers and peers concrete evidence of what you had to do to earn your credential and what you’re now capable of.
  • What if I don’t want my badge to be public? You’re in complete control of the information about yourself that is made public beyond basic certification verification. If you do not want your digital badge shared beyond your BOSWC profile, simply do not add it to any other platforms.
  • How do I share my badge with other sites and badge-sharing platforms? Copy the “embed” coding from your digital badge details page in your profile to the appropriate field in your email signature form, social media profile, or other digital badge platform.
